Layman Review Of Modern Paintings
I am not much of painting fanatic but abstract painting has always generated curiosity in my inner soul. Earlier painting generally represented nature but the modern abstract painting avowed to convey the inner meaning of a painting. For me abstract painting is representation of an idea which is modern yet elegant. It is painting from artist’s perspective and from his heart.
With rise in technological advancement which is from digital picturing to cloning, depicting the sense of reality and its presentation is more fluid and less stable. In a recent painting exhibition, I had observed that all Tali paintings have elements of incongruity and contradictions. Many artists have diffused visual cultures of present and some references from the past. This is also known as contemporary painting but some call it larger than life.
Some art connoisseurs also have termed it as meaningless painting. However if the subject is looked chronologically then it gives a ready and rough notion. In this art exhibition, I had observed that painting in western hemisphere was more dedicated to landscapes, human portrait and religious images. No one actually thought about this form of art.
But today abstract paintings have become a part of our lives as we readily see them in our homes and offices. It gives a feeling that you understand creativity well whether that might be thin stroke on a canvas.
Gone are the days when people would get inspired by Picasso and Renaissance paintings. Even the silver screen would draw scenes from the paintings of these artists. These paintings were pictorial and mainly had an oil base and used less of fluid. Today the painting world has drastically shifted its base; the new generation of painters draws inspiration from anything. The material combination of a painting can be originated from any formless base.
Therefore, I could derive that modern abstract art paintings was a part of larger movement that spawned the career of many famous artists. These were primarily regulated by new cultural trends, political, social and ideological observations.
