Since children are the most active people on this earth they need proper food and good nutrition. However, they are the worst eaters. They don’t have much knowledge as to what’s good for them and what’s not. Also, they are occupied with other things like play; study etc. and thus they hardly find time for right eating.

It is therefore the parents’ responsibility to see that the child eats right. Fish, eggs, milk, vegetables, cereals, whole grains, pulses etc. are some of the foods that should be eaten by kids. But they run away when their parents force them to eat all the healthy foods. Now, here are some guidelines that will help you to make your child eat right.
1. Kids like fancy things. And thus what you should do is decorate the foods. You can make a Frankie out of chapatti and vegetables and grate some cheese and onions over it.
2. With milk you can add honey and some crunchy stuff so that they love it.
3. You may make a pizza out of brown bread and add lots of vegetables, olives, cheese on it.
4. You may be really worried as to whenever your child feels a bit hungry he may get tempted to eat candies and cookies which are actually bad for health. In such conditions you should keep salad plate and fruit plate handy and must make them eat such things during the snacking hours. If they don’t eat then you can promise them some prizes or games.
5. Many children these days are moving towards fast foods. This is not good at such a young age. It is vital that you tell your children as to how harmful these fast foods are for their health. If possible read out such books in front of them or some article if available on the internet. Children can’t be forced. They hate people forcing them. Be gentle with them but also see to it that you don’t leave them on their own food habits. Try to change them. But be gentle with them and stay flexible.
