Research On Malaria
Malaria is one of the most researched diseases in the medical science because of its existence from the ancient times. This disease is mostly found in tropical areas because of the huge number of mosquitoes present there. Some of these mosquitoes are infectious and their bite can cause the spread of malaria in a person and animals also.
Therefore, foreseeing the hazards caused by this illness, different types of sprays, mosquito bed nets and lotions are marketed to prevent from the risk of getting infected. Although, these drugs have played a great role in declining the spread of malarial infection but they cannot be alleged as a permanent solution to this sickness.
Most of the poor countries have faced life threatening circumstances because of malaria. Many developing countries being unable to provide proper medication to poor people have been reported to countenance approximately 1 million deaths per year. The people in Africa are specially leading life on the line of poverty, and hence are unable to afford the expense of costly medicines.
This devastating situation is seen in many other developing countries where people do not even afford to get basic necessities of life. The young children, under the age of five are particularly affected by this disease, because they do not have enough resistance power to fight against high fever and other severe symptoms of malaria.
Apart from this, some studies have showed that the medicines which previously proved effective for the treatment of malaria parasite are becoming in effective. Reason for this is the development of resistance power in mosquitoes against different insecticides and drugs. There is need of thorough research in this area to find out the substances in body, which can let a person fight back against severe infections.
